Ø Jodee read thank-you notes we received from several people we have helped out recently.
Ø We have made 21 donations so far this year.
Ø The gun raffle went off and was won by Eugene Cannon.
Ø Jodee talked to Ann at the Stray Cat in Moorefield and she said it was okay to end our Fall Poker Run there. She asked to let her know how many was riding so she would know what to prepare for.
Ø The overnight ride for this year has not been scheduled yet.
Ø Donations have been made to people in financial difficulty as well as health and disaster issues.
Ø The chili cook-off is either going to be November 13th or 14th. We are going to talk to the Moorefield Rod & Gun Club and the MVFD Bingo Hall. A choice will be made later.
Ø Tom Mathias mentioned having a Christmas party this year and everyone liked the idea. We could have as an admission for people to bring a wrapped toy and give them all to Toys for Tots or someone.
Ø The ride for member Wayne Arbogast is this Saturday, August 21st. Members will be called. The ride to Monterey, VA will leave the A & A Mart in Moorefield at 7:30 am and the Chevron in Petersburg at 7:45 am.
Ø Moe will take care of getting three judges for the chili cook-off. There will be a first and second place and people’s choice. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded.
Ø The Club has 70 members at the present time.
Ø Jodee will take care of advertising the Fall Poker Run on the radio.
Ø We are going to have Thunder Roads WV run a 1/8 page ad in their magazine and website for the chili cook-off.
Ø We are going to have a silent auction at the chili cook-off.
Ø We are going to have a Fall Foliage Ride but that will have to be called by ear. It might be early this year due to the dry weather.
Ø We cleared $3513.00 this year at Fun Fest.
Ø The next meeting will be September 15th at 7:00 pm at Basagic’s Funeral Home in Petersburg.
