Ø Cliff suggested that we have Fun Fest as soon as we can get it this year.
Ø Eddie from Thorn Spring Park was contacted and he said the only dates available for the park for Fun Fest was June 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We went ahead and reserved these dates.
Ø We have two requests for help and Jodee and Cliff are going to get together and get some money out to them.
Ø Alvie Humphreys from Franklin was severely burned the other day and we are going to do something to help out with travel and medical expenses. Mr. Warner said he would match whatever we donated.
Ø We don’t know if we are going to raffle off a 4-wheeler again this year or not.
Ø Chad has the gun tips at his barber shop and he said there were a good many yet to sell. Cliff is going to Chad’s and pick them up. If anyone wants a tip contact Cliff.
Ø The firemen in Franklin are having a concert April 14th and they said we could set up and sell any kind of tickets we have.
Ø We are going to write a letter to the editor for all the local papers here in the near future to promote our Club and solicit new members.
Ø The Grant County Arts Council, Inc. is having a bike show March 3rd and 4th at the Landes Arts Center in Petersburg. See the website calendar of events for more details. C.E.’s has been contacted and asked if some of its members could help out with it. Cynthia Geary is our contact and I assured her that we could get some members to help. We are going to set up a table at the show and this would be the perfect opportunity to sign up new members for our Club. Ø We are going to have three major poker runs this year. We will have a Grant/Hardy run, the Fun Fest run which will be Pendleton, and a Mineral/Hampshire run. We will determine dates for the Grant/Hardy and Mineral/Hampshire rides at a later date.
